I've attending the Boston Wine Expo for at least 8 years that I can recall but this is the first time I will be attending as a member of the trade. Now don't get too excited we won't be pouring our wine there - we have to save that for you. But it will give us a good chance to get to know many different parts of the trade. And if you can make it please do come to Boston.

Postage stamps are small and they generally tell a story without words and is highly functional. So too should be wine labels and there in lies the torture. We are getting ready with a new wine (more later) and I've started the process of designing the label. This is hard work and not to be taken lightly. I'll let you know my progress.

I realize as I write this that that my wife will see this as another freak show letter. That's the term she gave to my Christmas message I would enclose in our holiday cards. You know the letters the long recap of everything that happened in the family that year. Well my letter was usually short in bullets points and mention things like:
- We took our lunches to work
- Scott is still a snappy dresser
- Blue is my favorite color
Yes the freakshow letter.
So from time to time you'll hear from me and what's happening here at A.J. SImmons wines. This is our first vintage and we have a lot going on. Thanks for coming and stay tuned.
